It is consensus among most collectors that the San Francisco Mine produced the world’s very best Wulfenite specimens. This outrageous piece represents everything we hope for - windowpane crystals, Mimetite matrix, and a compositional aesthetic that is unmatched by all the other great Wulfenites. I saw a photo of this piece in Les Presmyk’s Wulfenite lecture when I was still in University. It was clearly the most attractive piece of any I’d seen. It took me 5 years to track it down and acquire.
